Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

Mailchimp is used for the whole organization to develop newsletters to keep our existing clients up to date.
  • Provides templates that helps create a campaign
  • Audience list is fully customizable
  • Reporting on campaigns sent out
  • Can use live view, like Omnisend provides for visits on the website
  • More assistance with templates, provide photos and unique text
  • More user friendly templates, more customization
  • It's difficult to measure. I use Mailchimp mostly to reach existing clients to communicate with.
  • I find Mailchimp often falls into spam and therefore it can be difficult to reach new clients not expecting the email.
I actually prefer Omnisend as the free option. It allows for 2,000 emails to be sent daily with unlimited audience list and as many audience groups. Mailchimp is, however, limited. As mentioned, I use Mailchimp only for current clients that I need to reach on occasion to provide updates. In addition, there are live view limitations.
Mailchimp is well suited to reach a large group of people. Not suited for one-on-one email communication.
