Primary email engagement tool for marketing content. Also used to drive campaigns and analytics associated.

Primarily used to launch campaigns and email marketing. Also used to nurture leads and then cross sell based on segmentation.
Functionality on Pardot was limited. And development of the product was at a standstill with people slowly transferring over to Marketo. Marketo's functionality is above and beyond and transitioning to it was a no-brainer despite the investment.
Not recommended for small businesses as it needs sufficient knowledge/training to utilize to full extent. Also works with multiple platforms (Salesforce.com, Zoom, Demandbase, etc.). Great tool for automating email marketing and campaign management.
