Marketo is used for managing the marketing operations at our business starting with lead management to capture the leads that come in, enrich them and then run nurture campaigns to move them down the funnel and finally we have a handshake with Salesforce which passes it on to the sales folks to work on them.
We moved away from another vendor because of the customization that Marketo offers.

The primary goal is to get more leads, convert more leads and grow the pipeline.

The possibility of running complex marketing campaigns and seamless integration options along with the email editor & detailed analytics was the reason why we went ahead with Marketo over all the other vendors. We were using one of the vendors in the list above but as our marketing matured, it was essential to set the foundation using Marketo in a strong way.
