Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 Business
Microsoft 365 Business is being used across the entire company for email, Word documents, Excel sheets, and PowerPoint. The seamless integration between all of the programs makes this intuitive and simple to use. As an example, you can easily import charts made in Excel into an MS Word document to provide a visual representation of your data.
Pros
- The whole solution that provides a program for all of your basic to intermediate day to day business needs.
- Programs that function seamlessly together with formatting that works the same across the board.
- Controls and features that are common across multiple programs make them easier to learn, use, and teach new users.
Cons
- Some formatting issues in Word documents can be frustrating, like lining up indents/margins.
- Pattern recognition features in Excel aren't available in all other Microsoft programs like MS Project which can create a lot of time-consuming repetition.
- MS Outlook search functions could use an "advanced search" feature to help find that specific email you're looking for.
- Time savings are evident in an easy to use company wide email platform that allows you to schedule and book meetings.
- There must be some savings available to purchasers who purchase the 365 Business package for all company computers as they scale up.
- You can decide if you require a more custom and expensive solution if 365 isn't enough but it's a great starting point.
Procore and Microsoft 365 Business aren't competitors in my opinion and really work hand in hand together more than anything. Procore is more industry specific to construction whereas 365 is much more versatile and widely adopted across all industries. There is no replacement for some basic programs like MS Word or Outlook.
