Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Exchange

I used Microsoft Exchange for several years as a collaborative suite, mainly emails, but also for work processes, using shared mailboxes, archiving items and specific email related workflows. I've upgraded without issues from several versions, in complex environments with Microsoft Exchange components spanning multiple servers.
  • Email
  • Calendar
  • Contacts
  • Simplify management console
  • Better security
  • More frequent security patches
  • On premises managing
  • Microsoft Powershell integration
  • Exchange is the industry standard for email in a Microsoft environment
  • Users are really productive and satisfied with Microsoft Office and Outlook integration to Exchange
MDaemon is too simplistic for complex uses, while Exchange covers any uses and scale for every customer size.

Do you think Microsoft Exchange delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Exchange's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Exchange live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Exchange go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Exchange again?

Yes

Microsoft Exchange is the reference in collaboration within enterprise. Now replaced by Microsoft Office 365 suite, but on premises deployments are still best in class. Management console can be difficult to use in my opinion, but documentation is great. Microsoft PowerShell can be used to perform every action programmatically.
