Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power Automate

I use Microsoft Power Automate to create simple workflows to help users/departments. Mostly related to SharePoint lists/libraries. Send notification for certain field values and update/calculate fields and some tasks for approval.
  • I'm getting more and more impressed by the AI builder option
  • Works well with the standard components in M365
  • The UI keeps getting better
  • Many times it doesn't feel very "low-code" or intuitive. AI builder is helping more and more.
  • Workflows should have a longer lifespan in days, we have approval processes that take months and it's very annoying to fix if the instance is stopped.
  • Better debugging and quick fix help
  • integrated with M365
  • "Low code" so users can build thing for themselves
  • You can automate a lot of process very easy like automatic mails for status updates and such. This will save a lot of time and is more accurate, faster and up-to-date than a user can be.
  • Task approval is centralized and automatic reminders save us a lot of time.
  • The ROI is good if you have a lot of use cases and things to automate
Migration from Nintex to Microsoft Power Automate was sometimes a hassle because of functions that aren't available out of the box. But it's better than it was. The maximum duration of a workflow instance should be longer for approval processes that take months.
It isn't where it should be, but I expect this to become very powerful in the coming years.
I have many years of experience with Nintex applications and it stands up very well against Microsoft Power Automate. I hope Microsoft Power Automate can become the better workflow application. With the Integrated AI builder and continuous updates I expect they can become the better one in a few years.
