Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro across several Product teams to help us brainstorm product and design ideas. Miro boards have been created to capture user journeys, prioritize user problems, and rank solutions. Because we're a fully remote team, Miro boards help us collaborate a- and synchronously, essentially replacing whiteboard sessions.
  • Offer timer to limit brainstorming time.
  • Intuitive blocks to create user journeys.
  • Space for ideas.
  • Ownership of blocks when collaborating with many people.
  • Online commenting.
  • Improved ideation meeting productivity.
  • Ensure context building across team members.
Not the easiest to use at first requires getting used to the software. A little buggy with ~30 team members on a board when moving blocks around simultaneously.
Miro boards are easy to share and therefore are easy to integrate within existing processes.
Miro has been a great tool for our fully distributed team to collaborate on product and design (user experience in particular) decisions. Boards provide the visual element that fully remote teams lack, and act as a replacement for whiteboards. It enabled our team to have more interactive sessions where everyone was able to participate.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great for distributed product and design teams. It's a good tool to brainstorm and draft concepts and ideas. The best use case for it has been mapping user journeys and prioritizing user tasks. I recommend Miro for collaborative sessions. It does have a learning curve, so make sure your team members have a chance to play around with it before your meeting.
