Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as teaching support in subjects taught online. Miro helps organise activities for tutorial and foster student engagement, participation and collaboration. Online teaching limits the type of activities that can be conducted and alienate the students. Miro overcomes those problems, makes students collaborate with each other as they are in a classroom, and booster their attention.
  • Engagement on a virtual platform.
  • Online blackboard in place of a physical platform when teaching.
  • Interaction on activities.
  • Planning for a task/work/assignment.
  • A chat to help communication.
  • A better understanding of the size of the board.
  • Integration with Zoom.
  • Fostered student participation.
  • Helped with student engagement.
  • Reduced planning time.
I would recommend a better integration with video cal softwares, such as Zoom or Skype.
It works great with Teams and I appreciated when Microsoft Teams was integrated with Miro as we could use it more smoothly in our projects.
It helped from the teaching point of view. We could nudge students to use it after hours, in their own time because all the activities are saved and visible to other users.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited when organising group activities. Participants can work on the same board, they can interact and draw flowcharts to complete a task or to do an exercise. They can also check what others are doing. Everything is saved and consultable on the same board, thus reducing the risk of missing pieces of information. Miro better works together with a video chat, while it has room for improvement when a video chat is unavailable.
