Overall Satisfaction with Nextiva Business Phone Service
We've been using Nextiva Business Phone Service at our church, and it's been just what we needed. Our requirement was simple – only five lines, without the frills. The team at Nextiva really understood this. They helped us set up exactly what we needed and were incredibly patient, avoiding the hard sell on extras. They did offer some suggestions, but it was all very helpful and relevant to our needs.
The main problem we faced was poor customer service from our previous provided. I had used Nextiva in the past and I should have returned to them the first time. Regardless, Nextiva's service has lots of features, but is uncomplicated and reliable..

- Setup and installation is a breeze! I reached out several times after the installation to make a few changes to how our phones are configfured and the customer service went above and beyond. I love being appreciated as a customer after the sale!
- The back end feels a little dated, but it works! And that's what matters.
- The cost was very resonable for us for what we need from a phone service.
- Our account manager is extrememly accessible.
- Setting up auto attendants (which Nextiva calls "flows") is very intuitive. I had our whole attendant and phone tree set up in literally minutes.
- While it is helpful that they keep the configuration/provisioning file on thier servers, this means that custom tweaks to the phones via the web interface are not persistent. I have to reach out to them to make changes. There were a few things they couldn't accomodate for us, including custom ringtones and backgrounds for the phones. I would love to see this improved in the future. For most customers this would be no issue.
- As a church we can't speak on ROI really, but we are getting a superior service over our previous provider and are saving money each month!
Nextiva blows RingCentral out of the water in three areas for us:
1) Customer service
2) Customer service
3) Customer service.
This is so important. It was nearly impossible for us to get in contact with our account manager at RingCentral after the sale. I have it documented that the fastest response from him was 5 days, the longest 38 days. Our phones never worked like we liked them too and RingCentral support always had long wait times and tech support agents that couldn't really fix the issues.
Actual phone call quality was the same between the two, but in our world customer service counts!
