Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

I use Paychex Flex to set up new employees, get reports, verify data, 401k information, and FSA accounts. I am using Paychex Flex at least once a week for some payroll or HR needs. It has simplified printing reports, and emailing required documents to say in compliance. It makes keeping in compliance with the 401K very easy. It helps with peace of mind.

  • Searching for additional or special payroll reports are not always easy. If you don't know the name it can make it more time consuming to find.
  • Finding the monthly Disability/PFL invoice is not easy.
  • Using the FSA part of Paychex Flex is slower and less responsive then the rest. When clicking on anything for the FSA expect to wait for it process to it. You can't go in and get out quickly. You will need to plan time when using it.
  • Time saving for on boarding new employees
  • Printing and email 401k reports and compliance data.
  • Ease of printing payroll reports.
I have used phone support for employees' FSA questions. They have been professional and have been able to assist with resolving the issues.

I like most of the features and benefits of Paychex Flex. There are times that I will be looking for a report or some feature that I cannot find where it is. The FSA portion of the product is slower than the rest. Once you are in that section it works well, but it is slower, and requires more time to get done what you need to.
Paychex Flex makes it easy to set up new employees and keep track of their hire dates and birthdays. It allows me to quickly see who is enrolled in the 401k and when they are eligible to sign up. The Quick Reports are easy to get access to and find the main report that you use and need.

Relationship with Paychex, Inc.

Dealing with Paychex has been easy. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Paychex sales person was helpful with identifying the needs and the issues, and then offering up options for the solution. Our salesperson had a few options one that met the needs or most of them, and one that would meet the needs and add extra features.
Paychex is a very good company. My main issue is with calling and getting to the correct department or person on the first call. Many times I have called and I am told no I need to talk to this department instead based on the products you have with Paychex. It would be nice if the person could just answer the question instead of transferring me to another employee in the same department to answer it.
We have been able to negotiate pricing for payroll and other services. I know that as we have been adding services we have been able to bundle other options and get a better price. We are using Paychex for payroll, Health and Benefits, Disability Insurance and PFL, and 401K to name some of the services we use with them.
Always have your customer number ready to give them. This helps them to know which customer they are dealing with. I find that the more specific I am with the questions I am asking the more accurate they are with the answers, and they are able to come up with the solution faster. Make sure that they fully understand the issue you are having. The more detail the information the faster and more accurate the solution is.
