Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

It seemed daunting to make the switch from our local payroll company, but it was the right thing to do for our business. Paychex helped us every step of the way, and now we save hours of time every week with their automated services, and the direct depositing is fantastic. The documents and records are always available and easily accessible. The user web portal just makes everything so easy, no more mailing in or delivering paperwork with every change in employees. Our CPA has direct access to Paychex so she can get all the tax documents on her own, saving everyone time! Highly recommended.

  • A bit too much pressure from your sales partners to get us to add this or that tax service. We have told several people over the past couple of years, that we are sticking with our current provider of retirement plans.

Positively - Reports and records are easily accessible.
Really easy to get in touch with support people.
Much better than dealing with checks every payday and waiting for them to deposit at random times

The web portal is very well laid out.
They are well suited to help people transition over to them, and get everything rolling smoothly in a timely manner. It is daunting because the previous payroll provider used a completely different format. But after we worked out the kinks, we were so pleased with the change. The automated processes save us at least an hour to two per week.

Relationship with Paychex, Inc.

Constant availability, they are relatable to lay people like me who don't quite get the ins and outs of the industry. Being able to describe situations to people outside of your industry is a skill that I have found Paychex vendors have. Not pushy, but able to explain well.
It is easy to get in touch with them through my preferred choice between phone calls and emails. Wait times on the phone were reasonable, and call back wait times were always reasonable as well. They continued to assist after the sale was complete, and I have the assurance of knowing that they are available for me if I have any new questions or problems.
We were able to get terms that were better than our previous payroll company.
My experience with the vendor was great. My advice would be to just be patient with the paperwork process. Good things take a little work to set up. In the end, I save a few hours every week, and it was worth making the switch!
