Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for recruiting, onboarding, HR and Payroll
  • Payroll processing
  • Onboarding ease
  • customer service and training
  • too many features that are overly complicated
  • too many steps to set up new employees
  • Paylocity has made onboarding employees MORE time consuming.
  • Paylocity has made payroll LESS time consuming.
  • Paylocity has had multiple problems assisting with the seasonality of our business
Payroll and time tracking are somewhat less time consuming but onboarding has become much more time consuming (we are seasonal and hire 75+ new employees each year for 5 months at a time). Scheduling is not easy, and the interface for the time tracking and approving hours is not very user friendly. Over all I believe it is taking more time to onboard, approve payroll but it evens out with the time saved processing payroll.
We do not use this feature. We have a good face to face culture and the seasonality of our business makes these features less useful
We thought it was the most user friendly and covered all of the bases.. but now we wish we considered other options in more depth.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

No

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

No

Implementation was not good. There was no general overview of the product, just given a 130 page training catalog and told to review that to learn. After 3 months I still have so many questions and the customer service responds saying "We have to look into that question, we will get back to you" then never does..
For ease of payroll processing it is great. But the set up is incredibly difficult. Some steps were done wrong by our implementation specialist so I had to constantly question and look for errors I didnt know were there.
