Overall Satisfaction with Procore

It is important to get all parties to view the training and use the system. People that will not embrace the program are really missing out.

Taking the time to join the monthly product updates is also a big help. You can tell who is paying attention to the changes in Procore and who is not.
I personally would rate it higher, but my lower rating is the integration for the subcontractors. I still after 2 years have to assist subcontractors with the process.
We use Procore for all our construction bidding, management and billing. It does not interact with our accounting software, so this is transferred between the 2 systems. I only interact with the accounting software once a month to confirm there are no misses. I do my estimating through built spreadsheets, but the balance of my work is 100% through and in Procore.
  • The Change Event tool is very useful. It connects all the items and events related to any event in the process. You are able to drill down to all connected elements from any item connected to that Change Event.
  • The contract and change order process works very well to eliminate any over or under payments to subcontractors. Change orders are then tracked by simply coding a cost to that change order. Procore then places the costs to the correct codes per when the change order was created.
  • The budget creation and forecasting tool is great to keep a to the penny handle on the costs and projected profit. I review this and create a Snapshot following each pay application. This also is a great way for accounting and the owners to see what is really happening in the job.
  • There are few accounting software programs that blend well with Procore.
  • The adjustable Schedule of Values and Sub Jobs have been a great help for my Cost Plus CMGC projects, but this area needs more work. Procore works well for hard budget jobs. Creating a pay application for a hard budget job takes less than an hour. I spend 8-10 hours creating a pay application for one of my CMGC projects.
  • When we originally purchased Procore we had a single point of contact that understood our needs and progress with Procore. That has changed and we now have a "team" which causes us to speak to a different person each time. We do feel that there is a person at Procore that knows our current needs and progress.
Absolutely. This is one of our main reasons for using Procore. This collaboration eliminates errors due to all members having access to the same and current information.
  • Time spent as a project manager to track all issues and not have errors or misses has been a big savings of my time.
  • The daily logs with photos and reports have made it easier for the superintendent to track the job and all parties find and see progress quickly.
  • Our accounting department actually spends more time due to Procore with moving information between accounting and Procore.
I have only used American Contractor, Sage and Excel Spreadsheets for this type of tracking in the past.
There are two main reasons that I would recommend Procore. The first is the tracking of costs and information. Procore allows me to manage more projects with less risk of errors. The second is the current drawing and specifications are always in one location available to all members of the team.
