Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Make sure your team designates the proper amount of time for training and is consistent with the training schedule. Lots of features to learn details to understand how the whole software works together to be used efficiently.
Mostly online training. Limited time with your designated Procore implementation specialist for Q&A. That said, the support staff after implementation is very quick to address issues or additional questions.
Procore is our primary construction management software. We use if for subcontracts, document management, plan posting, bid solicitation, and project financials.

Pros

  • Notifications to contacts about project related changes, updates
  • Detailed project financials tracking
  • Easily create monthly draws (progress billings)
  • House all plans/project documents

Cons

  • Overlay of previous and current plans showing revisions could be improved and easier to find.
  • Change Order process can be cumbersome, but workflow can also be customized by support staff.
  • Limited custom template uploads
Yes, we have benefited from this. Once you get "buy-in" from your owners, subcontractors and design team members, collaboration tools and notifications of who's responsible for what including due dates and project updates are useful.
  • Saved time in creating subcontracts and Purchase Orders
  • Less email server space used as many documents are stored with links within the software
  • Need to plan on spending a few months for training and implementation and designate an implementation team to set up and roll out software
Procore is much easier to implement and customize.
Good for GC construction management with many useful features. If you have a large and detailed contact list it can be a great tool for bid solicitation, too. Not as great for plan review and takeoffs.
