Overall Satisfaction with Planview Projectplace

We use Projectplace for all of our projects and installer scheduling. It helps layout time lines in a nice GANTT format and lets you attach files to projects. We are able to have all Project Managers and Techs look at a single schedule to keep everyone on the same page.
  • Schedules [and] Timelines
  • Multiple projects
  • Online meetings
  • Would be nice to be able to see all project plan views on one page
  • Attaching cards to plan timelines can be clunky and will not allow you to add subtasks when cards are attached
  • No easy undo feature so if you make a mistake you have to try and remember what the original schedule was
  • No history or revision feature
  • Somewhat expensive but much cheaper and easier to use than Microsoft Project.
  • Helps easily schedule technicians so we can see overlap with less time spent coordinating.
Projectplace is less expensive and easier to use than a lot of other project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera). Pretty intuitive with little instruction.
Works good on time line planning, not so good with deeper details and specific task details. (Features are there but difficult to use.) Good online meeting tool to share your computer screen.
