Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

Qlik Sense is used internally to provide different departments with views of system data that they need for their role. It addresses issues with systems where reporting is limited or the need to combine different sources of data into one view. We use it primarily to analyse manufacturing and sales data, to analyse trends.
  • Combine multiple sources of data
  • Deal with large datasets in a timely manner
  • Ease of use, it takes a while to get used to Qlik Sense.
  • Being able to print to PDF natively without a third-party app.
  • It's allowed us to get rid of legacy systems by providing a view of the data.
  • It allowed us to keep two separate systems in line with each other without integration.
Tableau vs Qlik Sense: We found Qlik better suited the data transformation we needed. Having said that, we found Tableau easier to set up, while Qlik was awkward to set up.

Qlik Sense vs Power BI: We found more adoptability with Power BI, simply because everyone is used to Microsoft tools. However Power BI lacked the ability to combine multiple data sources quickly and efficiently to the user. We found Qlik Sense more favourable for this reason.
Qlik Sense is perfect for combining multiple data sources into one view. It allows a crazy amount of connectors, ODBC, REST, Salesforce, Excel, SAP... so suits most business scenarios. Once you get over the initial hump of learning the system you can create some beautifully crafted views for your users.
If your users aren't very IT savvy you might find issues with them using it. Therefore I'd recommend that you provide a lot of training and make sure adoption is monitored. We've found some users not logging in or forgetting how to use it.
