Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write
Read&Write is used to provide universal design for learning for all students in my school district. In addition, for students who need more specialized support, such as word prediction or picture dictionary, the students and teachers have the support at their fingertips to explore and try to determine if the specialized support is required. School district staff and students easily navigate the tools. Customizations such as voice and speed adjustments make Read&Write a successful tool for a variety of needs.
- word prediction
- read aloud (web and google platforms)
- highlight collections
- vocab builder- enter the words individually rather than collecting highlighted words
- All staff and students have access to Read&Write and are able to explore the tools with ease.
- Related service providers and teachers explore the specialized tools and provide trial periods with tools they are already familiar with as part of an AT assessment.
- Read&Write supports teacher to continue to work smarter (rather than harder) because Read&Write support tools are available on whichever platform the teacher utilizes to distribute assignments to students rather than converting their documents to a specific format.
Meeting a student's individual learning needs is the priority of the school district. A tool that students can utilize across grade levels and content areas without teaching a new program for different content areas saves time and puts the focus on learning academic content rather than navigate a program.
