Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance Star Assessments
We use STAR assessments to determine reading level and growth. STAR assessments are given at the beginning of the school year and then at the end of each quarter to guide instruction and inform decisions concerning RTI and small group formation. STAR also helps pinpoint areas of weakness and skills that are both lacking and mastered, so instruction can be more focused. STAR assessments are used school-wide in our district.
- Assesses and assigns reading level, factoring in vocabulary, context clues, and reading strategy skills
- Pinpoints skills areas that are weak, and suggests focus for instruction

- Assigns ATOS independent book ZPD levels
