First time using ADP for a small business. Here are my likes and dislikes!

Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®

I have yet to incorporate any of these features. However, we do plan to look into their Employee Handbook Wizard. We are a young business but I can foresee us creating a new Handbook with their services. Everything that we can integrate with ADP, we will look into & use if it makes sense to.
[RUN Powered by] ADP is being used for all payroll related business purposes. It is being used across the whole organization which is currently 2 automotive shops, as we seek to expand to 7 shops. We use[RUN Powered by ADP] for background checks when hiring employees. I like how it synchs to my calendar so I receive reminders when a payroll is due.

  • Easy to run payroll
  • Good for background checks on new hires
  • Some many different reps from ADP have reached out to me regarding the same thing & they are unaware that others within their company have contacted us already. They are basically upselling additional features.
  • I have been in communication with at least 5 or more reps about different things but I'd prefer to deal with just one person
  • If you need assistance you have to submit a ticket and wait for a response. I was able to find a phone number after the fact so that I can speak to someone real time.
  • Taken payroll from being outsourced to being managed by myself.
  • I have the ability to complete background checks on new hires without using another service.
  • I can setup loans for employees and manage them internally.
Our employees now have access to their pay stubs electronically. Previously with our old payroll company, they did not. Stubs were mailed out to them. I like that with ADP, we now have the ability for our employees to have access to pay stubs readily at their fingertips. As for HR information, that is a work in progress.
The only other service we used was CertiPay. They handled our payroll services prior to ADP. I do like how when help was needed I was able to email them & I would receive a response immediately. They also ran any reports that I needed for them to run. However, when I would forward them time sheets to enter for payroll it was able returned with mistakes. I figured with a payroll company I wouldn't ever see them, but it was almost a guarantee I would.

[RUN Powered by ADP is] perfect for small businesses. I can easily run payroll at a moments notice. However, if you need assistance sometimes it is a struggle to get it. It is good to run background checks that is included with the package we purchased. However, the fact that I continue to hear from 3 different reps over 4 different times about the same upselling service they want to push, which I declined since the 1st time it was offered, concerns me.
