Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

It's being used by Accounting and Finance and is our ERP system.
  • Generates invoices.
  • Ability to issue RMAs.
  • Interactive Custom Report Writer.
  • Requires lots of clicks to navigate around.
  • Not as easy to use as NetSuite.
  • No easy way to view GL posting impact of a transaction.
  • Some monthly close tasks are very manual, resulting in negative impact.
My role and use focuses on the revenue module within Intacct. The Advanced Revenue Recognition module has allowed us to adopt ASC 606.
We use the contract revenue management tool. The module has its defects and bugs. For the most part, the module does what we need, but there are some limiting deficiencies.
It is well suited for a small company and less appropriate for a public and/or large company.

COVID-19 Updates & Changes

Intacct previously integrated with Salesforce. However, their Advanced Revenue Recognition module does not integrate with Salesforce yet, unfortunately.
