Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Our Accounting/Finance department uses Sage Intacct in conjunction with the heads of other departments to approve bills. We also use it for direct invoicing to clients, financial reporting, revenue/fixed asset schedules, payroll journal entries and much more. It has a very user friendly interface that is easy to navigate, and as a cloud-based product, can be accessed in real-time in our offices across the globe for consistent collaboration.
  • Clear and concise navigation between functions
  • Ability to easily move and differentiate between different entity levels
  • Very detailed help function on every single page
  • Contracts module is more rigid and not as user friendly as other functions
  • Cannot drill down into financial reports as easily as with other accounting software
  • Would like more options for customizing email and document templates
  • It has helped our global integration run very smoothly
Yes, General Ledger automation has helped with journal entries and is a tremendous time saver. Also, we have been able to integrate our expense management program with Sage Intacct so that expense reports are automatically uploaded into Accounts Payable as bills, which saves us the headache of having to manually enter them.
Contract revenue management is one program in Sage Intacct that, while allowing for detailed customization, seems to have some kinks in it. Our company went through a year-plus long implementation process, and while some of the delays were self-inflicted, it took much longer than we would have hoped to resolve many of the module's issues.
We worked in conjunction with the vendor to implement and configure Sage Intacct. This included numerous training sessions both in person and over the phone/virtually. Of course, some of the best training comes from diving in yourself and getting your own hands on experiences. Sage Intacct was only really involved in the process when our vendor had problems they couldn't fix.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

No

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

As our company previously used Quickbooks desktop before migrating to Sage Intacct, the first and most notable difference was the speed in which we were able to navigate across divisions, departments and entities. A cloud-based accounting software like Intacct allows us to collaborate across the business and across the world in ways we simply could not before.
Sage Intacct seems to be well suited for companies with multiple divisions or entities, as its functionality allows users to move seamlessly between each as simply a new tab on a web browser. For smaller businesses, it may not necessarily be worth the cost because there may not be a need for such depth.
