Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We currently use Sage Intacct mostly in our Accounting and Finance Department. We have created dashboards so that Program Heads can see their data on an as-needed basis and they can have real-time access to it. It also allows them to review their grants. Prior to installing Sage Intacct, we used QuickBooks. This presented problems in terms of being able to look at the company from different perspectives. Now, with Sage Intacct, we can see financial information in various dimensions and obtain information that previously required exporting data and manipulating spreadsheets.
- It provides grant reports across different periods rather than just the fiscal year.
- The report writing function allows us to create reports that are only limited by our imagination.
- It has a multitude of functions that we haven't yet explored but will undoubtedly allow us to consolidate various accounting functions in one place.
- I wonder if a "wizard" capability can be built-in. Getting the most out of the software is time-consuming - which is fine, but I think I would adapt more functions if it were slightly easier to construct reports.
- I wonder if you could build in excel sheet functions within Sage.
- It's hard for me to quantify, given my role, but we now close within a week after month-end, it s saving us a lot of time.
We use the import function for payroll, payables, and journal entries. This has freed up a tremendous amount of time that has allowed myself and the CFO time to analyze data rather than massaging data.
