Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Dimensionalizing data for enhanced reporting is foundational to the system. This allows organizations to make better business decisions. The ease of API integration is a game changer for ensuring key data is flowing into the system, timely and accurately. Sage Intacct is constantly being updating in accordance with the latest regulatory requirements, and remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

  • We've automated billing processes between Sage Intacct and external systems via the Intacct API.

When data is being captured accurately at the line item level, that data can seamlessly flow into reporting. Management does not have to question whether data is accurate when the proper controls are in place. When reporting is not prepared in Excel, accounting staff can become more forward thinking as opposed to maintaining manual accounting processes and massive levels of effort to produce Excel reporting.
All of the above modules are able to automate accounting processes. For instance, many of our clients were simply unable to consolidate multi-currency entities for financial reporitng prior to implementing Sage Intacct. The module allowed them to fix this accounting gap and save on outsourced consultant fees - and provides accurate consolidation of data with a few clinks. Spend Management also allows for instant budget validation at the time of purchase requisition, to ensure budget overruns are caught up front, and not after the fact.
Depending on the complexity of the modules, Intacct is easy to configure in comparison to NetSuite. Nothing is configured via custom scripting and is all accessible directly in the platform. That said, having a knowledgeable implementation partner is crucial. The COA and dimensions re-design is the initial critical step when implementing the product, and will set up your business for success.

Most business outside of manufacturing and construction are natural fits for Sage Intacct. Even still, Sage is shoring up these areas and we fully expect it to be the ERP of choice for decades to come.

Any companies that struggle with Excel-based reporting, multiple legal entities for consolidation of data, intercompany challenges, multi-currency needs, lack of controls and segregation of duties etc., are indicative of companies that could benefit from Sage Intacct (there are many additional use cases as well).
