Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct for our Accounting and Finance needs. We have a complex business setup in that we are a nonprofit with several for-profit entities. The nonprofit operates as an economic development entity, so we deal with many grants (Federal, State, and Local). Our for-profit entities have several business formations, which we use to operate the venture capital side of the business. Sage Intacct allows us the flexibility of multiple entities that consolidate into one parent entity.
Pros
- Dashboards
- Financial reports
- Allocations
- Consolidation
- Use of dimensions
Cons
- The budgeting tool does not capture enough details that we like to track, for example, employee level detail
- AP automation needs to be developed, we currently use a third party system that integrates well
- I need to try their HR and Payroll
- The return on investment for Sage Intacct is 5x
- The company made the switch in 2014, and to this day we are satisfied with the product
- We are excited about what AI will bring to the product

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

All the solutions provided a cloud-based platform; they were all very different and unique. Sage Intacct appealed to the selection team because of the use of dimensions. For our economic development work, we track a lot of grants and have to be very detailed in monitoring how it's spent. Intacct provides us with multiple dimensions to track the information we need.
