Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct for outsourced accounting services to our clients. Provides cloud based solution to provide outsourced accounting for multiple clients in a remote work environment. Product provide a simple and intuitive SAAS that allows us to cross train multiple employees across our clients and integrate new employees quickly.
  • Easy to create journal entries and add supporting information
  • Robust reporting features
  • Memorized reports feature is helpful
  • Trial balance headers do not freeze to top of the screen
  • Can not show trial balance net of Debits and credits
  • Opening certain parts of ERP (GL Detail) opens a new window which gets messy
  • ROI is speedy close
  • Ability to serve multiple clients
  • can cross train different employees easily
Our outsourced accounting department currently use BlackLine and BL Journals. However, we are using an automated AR integration has been used.
Our team does not use advanced modules. I work with one Company that uses multiple entities and eliminations for consolidations. The robust reporting modules allow for presenting consolidated and consolidating schedules for greater value to the users of the financial statements. Additionally, we use budgeting module to providing monthly reporting of budget vs actual across a variety of expense categories.
Configuring reports requires the use of out internal team who specializing in configuration. However, simple changes are able to be made myself and my team. Additionally, almost all requested reporting configurations we have requested out internal Intacct team to make have been accommodated. The rating of 6 reflects that configuration requires a higher level skilled employee but is still a 6 as we can make decent amount of changes ourselves.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Netsuite has certain benefits over Intacct - primarily the search bar that allows a user to search for a journal entry number, document name, vendor, or report/saved search. This greatly reduces number of clicks and speeds up processes. Netsuite reporting is not as robust which results in simpler less useful reports for the users of financials. Additionally, Netsuite's reports are difficult to create and navigate, CNTRL-F search function within a report is massively lacking compared to intacct
I would recommend this to any company looking for an ERP and it has served our client who provides leasing. I have not seen that this ERP would be appropriate for inventory management and consumer product companies. A fixed asset integration would be helpful for many clients, even in a limited capacity.
