Use Cases and Deployment Scope

With multiple portfolios, numerous entities within the portfolios, and multiple locations within those entities, QuickBooks just wasn't cutting it. We were having to create financials within Excel sheets and consolidations were a nightmare. We've since moved everything to Sage Intacct and are able to create custom reports and have elimination entities and entries for those much needed consolidated financials. It's highly customizable and I'm so glad we implemented it over 5 years ago.

We had to use a third party for implementation, I believe this was prior to Sage Intacct handling it in-house. It wasn't the best experience, but that's was all due to the third party. We were able to customize pre-determined dimensions to work with our business model. We did not need "Employees" as a dimension and we renamed that "Wells", and another dimension was repurposed for "Investment Managers".

Sage Intacct is well suited for multiple companies, entities, portfolios, or if financials by locations (such as residential real estate) are needed. If you just have a handful of companies or don't need granular details or consolidated financials, it's less appropriate.
