Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We are the corporate office that processes all of the financial information for the 30+/- companies that our boss has either complete or partial ownership in. Having something that keeps all of our financials on the same platform and all accessible so easily is a huge thing for us. Being able to compare everything in one place and have it all be consistent in the account numbers, names, processes, etc., makes everyone's lives so much easier.
  • They're constantly evolving and growing
  • Interest in what their customers want, need, and would like to see
  • Seamlessness of updates and upgrades, without downloads
  • More "in your face" notice of added features that require being added to a user profile
  • Clearer explanations of what is needed on importing sheets
  • Go back to emailing office hours recaps for people that attended or signed up to attend
  • Time savings on so many functions from Accounts Payable processing and approvals to Budgeting and Planning.
  • Everything in one place prompted us to switch to all electronic files which saves on so much paper, file folders, filing cabinets and time for paper filing.
  • Assignments has given us a built in checking and reminding feature where we all spend the bulk of our time. Makes auditing and confirming that tasks are complete so much faster and easier. Less need for other programs.
  • Overall, everything about Sage Intacct has made us unmeasurably more efficient in every way possible..
We use recurring accounts payable and accounts receivable regularly. For our advertising contracts, we are able to set everything up so that it follows the contract dates and automatically generates. Then for our own companies that we manage, we charge regular management fees and using the recurring saves so much time and energy. The ability to set it up and then forget about it is priceless.
We use multi-entity accounting and being able to have everything flow through that has made all the fine details of keeping track of which company owes the other company something obsolete. All of the accounts are set up, everything flows automatically behind the scenes, and we don't have to worry about if everything is being done a certain way by every single person. We can spot check and confirm things as we want to, and it gives us a much more solid footing on that problem.
When we converted to Sage Intacct, we didn't work with Sage at all on it. We worked with the vendor by having a weekly meeting at our location, and we would go over what was needed to set up a module and debate on what was needed for it or not. They were FANTASTIC in helping us get everything up and running. When we hit a point where we weren't able to get everything exported from our old Quickbooks files and set up for importing into Sage Intacct for historical data, they jumped right in and helped us with all of it. I was involved with all of the set up and configuration of our instance of Sage Intacct, and I've found that the experience from that definitely helps when we add on additional modules. The only thing that I look back on and wish is that there are so many features and options on Sage Intacct, it's hard to know exactly what each feature will do or enable, and there are some that if we would have known sooner exactly what they did, it would have made some things a ton easier for us. Live and learn, I guess.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Quickbooks could never stack up against Sage Intacct, they're not even on the same page for what Sage Intacct offers and what Quickbooks offers. Granted, Quickbooks is a great program for simpler companies and users, but for what we need and use it for, there's no comparison between the two for us.
BILL Spend & Expense
For our size and diversity in different fields, Sage Intacct is amazing for us. We have different divisions from Materials to Entertainment, Recreation and Real Estate and the companies are located in multiple states. The information we process comes from various sources and types of programs, but Sage Intacct makes it easy to get everything in the system by having pre-defined import spreadsheets that we can just fill in our information on and upload it. These are things that we used to manually enter back when we were with Quickbooks. Plus, not having to sign into a different company every 10 minutes made us all so much more efficient. That's something that I think would be a great deciding factor when debating if Sage Intacct is right for a company that is perusing their options.
