Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I use Sage Intacct for all Accounting related functions. Revenue & expense recognition, bank reconciliations, and project management.

  • Sage Intacct has only had positive ROI on our overall business objectives.
  • Prior to Sage Intacct, we used an accounting software called Xero.
  • Sage Intacct is lightyears ahead of Xero in regard to capabilities.
We have definitely benefited from the automation of these core financial processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order management.

These abilities allow our company to be more agile, spending time on the things that matter. We no longer need to focus on these select reporting aspects, letting us dive into the core business processes.
We have used the intercompany payable/receivable function, as we operate a business with four different entities. The fact that Sage Intacct completes the entries related to these intercompany transactions is literally a lifesaver. Countless hours are no longer wasted at the end of the month to reconcile these accounts. I can't begin to describe how much I can appreciate these advanced modules.
My experience configuring the system has been fairly easy. I was able to configure it with the help of a colleague who had used Sage Intacct in the past. While it took a couple of web tutorials, we figured it out without the need for a vendor. I am confident that most people can do this on their own, with simple accounting knowledge.

The only other product I have used for accounting is "Xero." Sage Intacct is far superior to Xero. I have found that Sage Intacct is far more detailed in its reporting capabilities, allowing for a more complex set of books to be presented. This is imperative when operating a business of our size.
Sage Intacct is well suited on all things related to reconciliation. The matching and bank rec process is super seamless. The ability to attach a bank statement is wonderful, and the fact that Sage Intacct saves down the reconciliations once complete is fantastic.

Improvement could be made in the ability to reclass sales invoices, especially those which were paid.
