Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Personally, I utilize Sage for Accounts Payable. Coming from a non-finance background and working at a non-profit organization with many funding sources and departments, I have found Sage Intaact to have a moderate learning curve. Overall, the system offers many capabilities, but is not very intuitive. Small tweaks to the system based on customer feedback would make working within the software more efficient and useful.
  • Ability to export data in various formats
  • Sorting functions
  • Custom views
  • Detailed explanations when "errors" are generated in various environments such as uploads and invoice entry (currently the details provided don't seem to end up matching what the issue actually is and are not clear in terms of how to resolve/proceed)
  • No ability to merge duplicate vendors
  • Lacking option to "post" multiple bills in draft state, must do individually which takes a lot of time each week when we pay bills
  • Positive: more accurate real-time data when compared to previous software/system
  • Negative: not intuitive, learning curve & missing basic capabilities
  • Neutral: more of our departments now working within same system
As a new user, we haven't yet seen much of the automation this question refers to. There are still many functions we require training for but expect any automation that is an option to be helpful. More customization for our agency's structure would be helpful as well.
We have not and do not expect to use most of the advanced modules listed here.
We required a heavy amount of consultation to navigate within the system and are still training on the various modules/capabilities. Sage Intacct hasn't provided much assistance at this point as we're still working with Wipfli on implementation/transition.
There are certain features that are preferable in Sage when compared to Financial Edge, but there are also features we miss when comparing Sage to our previous system such as the database view. The customer support seems to be better so far.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

No

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

No

Sage seems to be more appropriate for larger, corporate type companies that are focused on purchasing with limited funding sources and grant requirements. As a nonprofit user, the system is very finance oriented, which isn't as approachable when trying to outsource/train certain tasks to our various departments.
