Overall Satisfaction with SAP Litmos

It is being used across our organization to meet both compliance and professional development goals.
  • Cloud based.
  • Easy back end.
  • Automated reporting.
  • Search feature is too sensitive.
  • Integration with outside libraries.
  • Expansion of how gamification works.
  • Increased compliance.
  • Enabled cost savings.
  • Enabled time savings.
I have implemented and used the SAP SuccessFactors LMS. It was okay. Convoluted back end and didn't integrate with SAP JAM to provide full benefit of purchasing them as part of a portfolio of solutions. Litmos integrating with JAM would be a fantastic development. Litmos is the third LMS I have implemented for an organization and by far the easiest to get up and running.

Overall I feel it is a good system. The search feature is the worst part. It is too sensitive and can make it difficult for users to find what they are looking for. The competency mapping is a great feature but I would also suggest that it works differently than the way comps are set up in my experience, with you having to put the actual competency as they skill to create visibility to the end users. I would also suggest gamification could use some improvement. The points relationship isn't useful in my view and the feature lends itself to quantitative contests not qualitative. The dashboard could also provide better details on the badges earned by the leaders. All this said, for the price point and ease of use, even having these features is great and overall the system is easy to use. Litmos has some opportunities but is a solid product right now.
I found the implementation easy and well supported by the Litmos team. I set it up by myself with no need to engage my internal technical team. Bulk uploading features make it fast to get your users into the structure you create. There is an opportunity with Brands to offer separate content libraries to create an easier process to segment your audiences and what they are able to see/use in the system.
It is easy to implement, which makes it ideal for small scrappy teams looking to jump start an LMS. Easy administration also allows Team Leaders and other elevated users to support their own needs, which is essential for small to mid-sized organizations. Wish the brands feature allowed for a separate Content Library to allow for more segmentation of content access. It can be done through the Teams structure but then courses must be placed there vs simply being able to check a box when creating or adding a course.
