Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We implemented SAP Litmos back in 2018 initially, this was just for our permanent workforce but recently launched the platform with our casual workforce and trialled it with our contractors, business partners and tenants too. Since using Litmos it has really taken our organisation’s Learning and Development to the next level. The user interface is easy and intuitive and easy to administer. We use Articulate authoring tool to design our courses and uploading SCORM files onto the platform is a breeze.

Pros and Cons

Simple, intuitive, and user-friendly interface for both user and admins.
A extensive list of features that enables easy customisation.
Easy to upload courses, media files and documents.
Ease of tracking user progress and completion with reporting.
The onboarding process for system administrators and support from our Customer Engagement manager has been positive – helpful and very responsive.

Heroes course library is extensive but would prefer to see more courses targeted for the Australian market.
Would be good to have option for one-off course purchases from the Litmos Library.
I feel sometimes the product support team lacks knowledge in some areas of the product.
The knowledge base has extensive information but just for basic platform setup and features. Lacking more in-depth information like how best to set up and use some features would be really helpful.
Rigid pricing model for businesses that require scalability.
Further customisation to capture information about Learners is required (such as with Single Sign up and capture of multiple fields for Learner information).

Usability

This was one of the reasons why we chose SAP Litmos, the platform is really intuitive and easy to use - even for new users.

Implementation Rating

There were times where I felt the implementation training (onboarding sessions) could be improved. Having access to Litmos DOJO was great and I was able to learn a lot about setting up the platform at my own pace.

Likelihood to Recommend

The platform has been great for internal staff training and development but we feel it's been less suitable for our contractors. We have thousands of contractors who are required to be inducted every year and most of them may only use the platform once. Scalability and cost have been a pain point for us.
