Overall Satisfaction with SeekOut

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use SeekOut in my talent research on a daily basis to help inform our hiring partners and senior leaders of talent availability in our target markets, domestic and abroad. SeekOut data, including locational, diversity, skills, and affinity groups are of particular interest as we seek to understand the talent market.

Pros and Cons

Pros

The amalgamation of diversity data across a talent pool.
The ability to save projects and profiles in real time, but allow them to be customizable and malleable allowing me to respond to information as I receive it.
The ability to develop sophisticated search strings using a seemingly limitless amount of keywords as well as wildcards to capture a wider amount of profiles.

Cons

We find that profiles are often times well out of date, sometimes up to 6 months.
The system at times seems overwhelmed by the complexity of the search that I build. It will return a number of profiles that do not at fit the search and shouldn't have made the list.
We used to be able to exclude industries, skills, etc. They took away that function for those fields, which was actually very useful.

Return on Investment

SeekOut has improved my ability to influence partners and leaders with comprehensive data, which in turn influences present and future hiring decisions and strategies.
SeekOut has helped us gain a better understanding of the talent marketplace from a locale and demographic perspective. We better understand where and how to target talent as a result of this data.
SeekOut has been a great resource in developing talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles that we anticipate opening in the short- and medium-term future.

Support Rating

Overall, SeekOut support is suitable. We are able to connect with support staff in real time to help us navigate an issue and SeekOut also provides a number of resources and live training sessions to help its customers get the most out of the product. I do find that sometimes the staff just won't have an answer for my problem or cannot explain why a feature has been removed.

Likelihood to Recommend

SeekOut is a great resource to build a 1,000 foot comprehensive view of the talent marketplace. Whether your search is a nationwide query of all available talent with a certain set of titles, or specific to one exact locale that includes a number of disambiguating skillsets, SeekOut will return information that is mostly accurate and actionable.

SeekOut's areas of opportunity for me would be ensuring their information is both accurate and up-to-date.
