Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use slack as an organization to have individual conversations as well as different group ones. You can break out as many groups as you want for different teams you may have. It also can email your employees with the slack message which you can reply to through email and it also has an app that is great.

  • Easy for communicating with multiple people from anywhere
  • Better desktop application would be nice
  • I would like to see better ways for uploading documents
  • It has been positive for communicating offline
  • It has been negative if people forget to look at it
  • Gchat
Slack provides a better more in-depth conversation platform than Gchat. It can be much easier to miss out on a Gchat than a slack as long as you have the right applications downloaded and notifications on your account. Sometimes people don't always see their emails so knowing they have the Slack app is important.
It is definitely well suited for on the go conversation as opposed to using people's personal phones or emails. It has been well suited for after hours conversations or if someone in another office has a request that is quick. It is not well suited for team meetings or longer discussions.
