Overall Satisfaction with Slack
Daily interactive communication. Broadcast messaging.
- Slack has a mobile version with push notifications.
- The web-app version is particularly useful when you need your screen and are not at your home desktop.
- The integrations speed up a lot of processes because you do not need to be constantly redirected.
- Thread conversations can get lost unless you actively revisit your old threads. You would need a mention to receive all the alerts.
- Copy and pasting images into a thread does not work with forward bot applications.
- Bots created by other users can become annoying. You have to wait for the creator to change its functions.
- Broadcasting announcements.
- Immediate responses from users.
- Accessibility. It is available on Android which makes it most accessible.
- It is simple to use and requires no onboarding.
- Popularity among users; users found it difficult to move to another platform because they were comfortable using slack.
- I have no figures relating to ROI.
Slack is a faster tool for communication since everything is in-app. It syncs with all my devices, so I don't miss anything. Other platforms redirect, which slows down its performance. The accessibility of slack works for everyone in the community. Circle Community Platform is still underdeveloped and does not have an Android option; Microsoft Teams is not friendly on iPhones.
