Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work remotely on Slack with a team of content editors for one of the internet's biggest RV travel website networks. We use Slack to communicate on-the-fly editorial planning, troubleshooting, calendaring, general management, and other related work that helps us publish the best quality RV travel and lifestyle content on the internet.

Pros and Cons

on-demand communication
works great with any browser or device
allows us to attach documents and link to websites without any issues
love the emojis it offers!

Wish it would have a library of Giphys or just a better way of finding them.
Calendaring would be nice

Return on Investment

Enhances my ability to respond to client needs
Instant communication allows for better, faster crisis management
Allows me to showcase my talents to colleagues quickly and efficiently

Alternatives Considered

Google Meet and Zoom

Slack is an always-on solution with better ways to meet and communicate on the fly than these other methods. It's a better productivity tool overall than either Meet or Zoom, and I can't see working without it at this point.

As a freelancer, I'm able to join my client's Slack community and enhance the work I do for the company with the ability to easily communicate ideas, requests, resolve urgent situations, plan for future needs and events and more. Slack helps our team achieve a cohesive feel across all time zones like nothing else has in the past.
