Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

Teamviewer is being used across most of the organization globally. It primarily is used for resolving issues with off site users.
  • Very simple way for the end user to establish a remote connection.
  • Allows file transfer services while remote session is connected.
  • Client is customizable, so can put in company logo to ensure users that this product is safe.
  • Lack of maintenance contracts to allow for upgrade when new version releases.
  • Upgrades to new version are very expensive, if you are on a old version and the user downloads the latest client from the web it will not work. Old clients are not easy for users to find on site.
  • Needs more integration into AD, without that, there are security issues that prevent us form fully utilize some features.
  • Remote users find it very easy to create remote connections compared to products used in past.
Teamviewer ability to hold on to a steady connection while the remote client switches on and off from VPN is a huge positive to other products. VPN issues with field reps are very common and while trying to fix, if the remote user ahs to keep re-initiating remote connection they tend to lose patience fast. Teamviewer also will allow us to force the computer to boot into safe mode and automatically establish a connection. very helpful for resolving virus issues.
Teamviewer is great for scenarios where field users are roaming across multiple locations where WiFi may not be very fast. On poor connections Teamviewer is very good at adjusting the performance features to make the connection stable.

Using TeamViewer

We will continue to use our current version as it is very expensive to upgrade and lack of maintenance contracts.
