Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
Trinet handles all of our HR and payroll. We were a start-up with remote employees in other states. With being so small and in multiple states, Trinet was able to offer us a solution that would handle all of the payroll details by state so we didn't have to worry about that. We could focus our limited resources in other areas of the company.
- Willingness to work with a small company, we only started with 5 employees.
- Very responsive to questions during on-boarding and afterward. Normally we receive a response within a few hours of sending an email.
- Knowledgeable staff. If our direct contact does not know the answer, they find someone who can.
- I was disappointed that during the onboarding process and setting up the payroll, that we set it up to pay in advance instead of one week behind. This has caused us a lot of additional administrative work with our hourly employees. Note, when we first started, we didn't have hourly employees.
- At times, it seems like employees are not aware of communication that is being distributed. We received communication from international employees, which we have, I followed the directions and never got a response. We contacted our direct contact and she had no idea what I was talking about and asked me to send her the email we received.
- Since there have been changes in the platform, we have noticed some instructions in the email do not reference the new platform.
- When employees are looking at their benefits, it doesn't give them what plan they are on. For example, one employee was trying to figure out which VSP plan they had because they wanted to know what plan they were on - Choice, Signature or Advantage.
- Work Visas - several inquiries with no response, had to be escalated to our direct contact. (Not just a day or two, almost 2 weeks with 3 inquiries)
- Manages all of our payroll, ensuring that it is accurate. and that we are abiding by local laws.
- Filing of payroll taxes.
- Ensuring that we are in HR compliance when the need arises.
ADP was not set up to work with a company that had less than 10 employees. Their benefits and administrative costs were much higher. With Justworks, they don't off the HR piece, just payroll and benefits. Everything was online and difficult to talk with someone. Initially, their costs and benefits look really attractive but the workman's comp insurance was a ton more than others. We were able to get the whole package with Trinet.
