Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We are a private equity firm with a portfolio of tech companies. We use TriNet for the PE team, not our portfolio companies. We currently have a team of 10, we will be at 12 by the end of the year. We use TriNet to manage our payroll and benefits.
  • The employee dashboard allows employees to manage their HR needs and provides valuable resources.
  • Benefits - We are very happy with United Healthcare and the plan we are offered.
  • The admin dashboard is nice - I like being able to manage the HR process online and not having to contact the rep for everything.
  • The benefits selection process within the app is still a little confusing. It's not intuitive and after 4 years I still get confused and have to ask for help. More specifically, I have to select several items before I find the place to enter new rates. And even then, I'm not confident things were done correctly when I submit my changes for the upcoming year.
We have had two account managers over the last few years and both are very capable, attentive and kind when we need help or ask questions. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. It has made the HR processes easy to manage and execute. We have had zero issues with our payroll, which is nice. I really like the platform, but the benefits selection dashboard is not that intuitive or easy to navigate.
This is the most pleasant experience I've had with an HR manager. Of course, my only comparison is ADP and they were high maintenance. I don't waste time troubleshooting issues or waiting on hold for a random operator. I appreciate that no matter what happens, TriNet will help sort it out in an efficient and effective way. We never have to worry about payroll going out on time.
  • HR compliance - This is very important in our industry since we answering to the SEC.
  • Reduce the time HR spent on administrative tasks.
As I said, my only experience was with ADP and they were not accommodating or userfriendly. With TriNet, we get great service and are treated well.
TriNet works really well for our company. Our HR needs aren't complicated so the service is what matters. Having a dedicated account manager is helpful and the response time is quick. The dashboard gives employees independence and they can update info and ask questions on their own instead of coming to me. We really like that feature. Fortunately, we haven't had any negative experiences with TriNet or our service.
