Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers
I started using TrustRadius when I was tasked with recommending a marketing automation platform to replace our existing system last year. I was the primary decision maker for this initiative, along with my supervisor. TrustRadius instantly provided me with a wealth of information and head-to-head comparisons that I could bring back and present to my supervisor and the E-team with confidence to obtain budget approval for a new marketing platform.

The Scorecard, Product Details and Ratings and Reviews tabs were the most useful during the decision-making process. I also referenced the Alternatives tab when determining additional contenders to bring to the table to ensure we were making the best decision for our organization. As my first major project at the company, I had to make a good impression by delivering a well-informed recommendation, and TrustRadius enabled me to do just that.
I was looking for end-user insight into the day-to-day use of MAPs, as well as executive-level insight on the reporting and dashboard capabilities and platform ROI. It was extremely useful to be able to filter platform reviews by the reviewer's company size, industry, department, job type, role, experience level and post date. This saved me a ton of time in the long run and helped us ultimately make a well-informed decision that resulted in a 133% cost savings.
Reviews are critical in the B2B buying process as they provide necessary insight (pros/cons, capabilities/lack thereof) across various use cases/roles that are impossible to glean during trial periods. Quality reviews make the software purchase process much more scalable.

- Alternatives tab allows for easy side-by-side comparisons & informed decision-making.
Cons
- Allow users to contact vendors within the platform for pricing, quotes, demos, etc.
- Use gamification to encourage higher engagement within the reviewer community.
- Ability for reviewers to earn badges within categories, for quality reviews, etc. to further increase engagement.
I also spoke with industry colleagues and consultants to ensure we made an informed decision.
I referenced reviews on G2 Crowd and Capterra, as well, and found that TrustRadius provided the most helpful information to aid in my purchase decision at the end of the day.
