Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We use UKG Pro as our primary HRIS. We wanted a program that housed all of our HRIS needs into one software, including payroll. We have added modules for performance management, salary management, benefits open enrollment, career and education, Workforce Management, succession planning, recruiting, and onboarding. We switched from a couple of different systems to having it all in one place.
  • Onboarding
  • payroll administration for the US
  • succession planning
  • Canada - payroll, reporting, service
  • Performance Management - anniversary reviews
  • Recruitment - ability to repost similar, but not identical jobs
  • the ability to manage all HR activities in one platform
  • added time trying to get service for issues
  • in Canada it has added time to Payroll reporting and year end
The decision making was done by our US team, they chose this as it seemed like the best option at the time. The level of service that we have been receiving lately, makes us wish we had chosen Workday. When UKG is working well it is fine, but when it is not it is very difficult and time consuming to get service and have issues resolved.

Do you think UKG Pro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with UKG Pro's feature set?

No

Did UKG Pro live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of UKG Pro go as expected?

No

Would you buy UKG Pro again?

No

When UKG is working well it is relatively easy to use, functions as expected. The management and user experience is usually acceptable. We find there are often glitches or things that go wrong that are difficult to resolve.
We centralized HRIS, payroll, benefits open enrollment, all into UKG. I think this centralization has been beneficial to the US operations. This centralization has caused challenges for the Canadian Team, as Payroll reporting and year end is now much more tedious.
I would not recommend UKG to a company with operations in Canada. They claim to service Canada, but do not do a good job of it. They do not file year end tax forms, you have to do that manually. They do not remit to most Canadian vendors, so that is manual. They do not submit to CRA, so ROE's have to be submitted manually. When something goes wrong getting assistance for Canadian specific issues does not happen in a timely manner. If you are based in the US with no Canadian operations, it would be a better fit.
