Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)
UKG Pro [(formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)] is used for Payroll Services only in our organization. It addresses our payroll needs. We also use UKG's Payment Services.
- UKG Pro makes entering Child Support deductions easy to use and understand. Child Support orders are not easy to enter into a system, and UKG Pro has all of the options needed to make sure the deduction is being calculated properly.
- I like the ability to customize UKG Pro to meet our needs and the needs of our employees. Setting up new earnings codes, deduction codes, and tax codes is pretty simple to do. As an administrator in the system, I like that I can see data on the payroll payments such as Gross Taxable Wages and that this is not on the payments for users to see as this could be confusing to them.
- As a relatively new user to the UKG Pro system, I have found it user friendly. Where to find data/information in the system tables is set up in an easy to follow process.
- I find Pro Analytics not that easy to use. Finding reports that fit what I need can be time consuming, and I am not skilled at creating my own reports.
- Although the Smart Tax feature is great, if the address put in by our HR department and sent to UKG Pro doesn't exactly match what is needed to figure out what local taxes to assign to the employee then this functionality is not very helpful.
- The ability to allow employees to view their payroll payments on their phone is a big plus as so many employees use their phones to view most everything they need.
UKG provided exceptional support when our company had W-2 Negative Wages on an employee for a prior year. The employee did not receive a W-2 due to these negative wages. Our company was not aware that we needed to be running reports to look for this type of information. UKG was proactive in contacting us and making us aware of this situation. Then a specialist was assigned to help us fix the situation and make sure it was done correctly. The specialist worked with us through the whole process of correcting the year's worth of paychecks. The specialist also explained what reports we needed to begin running, how often to run these reports, and how to read the data that appeared on the reports.
