Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

We use UltiPro across our entire organization. This was the perfect solution for us to have an all-in-one solution for an HRMS. This is wonderful for our HR/Payroll department, but also for our employees who only have one system to know how to log into for all of their HR/Payroll needs.

  • The Recruiting module could use a little more functionality in the area of system notifications. That would be helpful for the Recruiting Mgr and Hiring Mgr.
  • Time & Attendance - our points/attendance policy didn't quite fit into the capabilities that UltiPro's Time Management solution had, but we were able to work around it. More flexibility in this area would be great.
  • Would love to have an area specifically set up for employee discipline. At this time we just use the Documents area to add discipline documentation to.

At this point, we have definitely achieved a few of our outcomes that we wanted - single solution and security. Those two were no-brainers right off the bat. Time savings will come (in time) but at this point we are still learning so more will come as we become more comfortable and familiar with the solution.
We used ECI Empower (now, Vibe HCM) and quit using them right as they were transitioning to Vibe. Previously we had no communication from our vendor on any improvements or innovations that were coming along. There was zero communication at all, really. The product itself was tired and out-dated. We were never offered any "new" functionality or even told about it. With UltiPro, all system upgrades and improvements are for everyone. There is no "versioning" with UltiPro - everyone on the product always gets the new functionality.
For us (with 200-250 employees) it works really well. We have enough employees that it is a burden to do many things manually and have to update so many people. UltiPro was the perfect solution for us and had so many great features that the transition was totally worth it. If you were a super small company, I can see how it might be too robust and be a little cost prohibitive.
