Overall Satisfaction with Unitrends Recovery Series Backup Appliance
We are currently using the Unitrends appliance on a daily basis. It performs our daily backups of both our physical and virtual environment. We've successfully restored many different file types with this appliance. What I like most is their proactive maintenance. Unitrends notified me of failing hard drives on our appliances before I even knew they were failing.
- Proactive maintenance - notified me when one of the hard drives were failing.
- Interface is really easy to navigate through, from backing up to restoring, everything is just a few clicks.
- Graphically I would like to see it improve. Although navigating through the menus is really easy, it looks very plain text.
- I wish the retention plans worked a little easier. Have had problems with these.
- The unitrends appliance has saved us a few times with the ability to restore files on the fly. We've had databases go corrupt that we were able to restore within minutes.
