Overall Satisfaction with UpKeep Maintenance Management

We use UpKeep primarily for work order management & distribution, and parts inventory & tracking. We only utilize the software in our maintenance department at this time but may expand after this year. I think having our department enter work order requests would help us further expedite service calls. This has helped us with faster parts consumption with more accuracy.
  • Work order generation: We can quickly enter relevant information pertaining to the w/o and is a very user-friendly interface.
  • Spare Parts Inventory Consumption: By either manual entry or QR code scanning you can attach spares to the w/o.
  • Asset Identification: Upkeep provided a usable platform to capture our asset information and provide QR identification allowing for quicker w/o generation.
  • Importing information: Had to reformat all our current files to match the upkeep format. Labor intensive.
  • Location vs. Assets: Often times UpKeep will appear to remove the location or asset when both options were added to a w/o. This led to several w/o being reworked until the discovery that the information actually saved but was not visible until the w/o was completed.
  • ROI: Huge benefit. This CMMS is very cost-effective and paid for itself within 2 months.
  • Integration: Major downfall. I knew this going into the software but didn't anticipate the impact on my productivity. We have abandoned the spares tracking aspect as I have to track all consumed parts in AX, this is our corp directive. If you are in a company not restricted to corp. directives this system is amazing.
Simply due to the lack of integration to AX, I have to give it a 7. This is not a ding on UpKeep, it is a reliable well designed CMMS for anyone looking to find a solid platform to track maintenance-related w/o, spare parts inventory, and asset identification with trackable historical records.
In the beginning, I had to reach out often for support. The Upkeep staff responded rapidly and followed up to ensure our issues were resolved. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and professional. I would say for me as an end-user this high degree of tech support means everything! I work in a service-oriented industry. We strive for the highest customer service and respond to issues in the same way UpKeep has for us. Thank you UpKeep staff!
We were originally looking towards "Dynaway" as it is easily integrated into the AX platform. I was able to run a trial version and found that it is far more detailed and requires training to use. UpKeep is very user-friendly and intuitive. It allows users of almost any skill level to easily navigate the software and execute tasks with very minimal training. UpKeep is an amazing smaller company tool that once integrated would pay dividends in a very short amount of time.
I think all in all UpKeep is a well-rounded software CMMS that is suited for a smaller-scale operation that does not have any other enterprise application in use(AX, AS400, SAP). Upkeep works very well, but can't be integrated with other systems. This creates additional work for admin users as they have to often do double entry into other systems.
