Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We started to use VEEAM under our on-premises environment. As it's a success, we started to use it under Azure to perform backups for servers hosted on Cloud. We consider that the GUI is a great advantage and also the support is one of the differentials to choose VEEAM, with their high-level support team. We strongly suggest for the other companies too.

Pros and Cons

File Server.
Application server.
DC server.

Possible to perform backup of legacy OS and tape drive usage (virtual tapes for example).

Return on Investment

Cost-saving due to licensing.
Time for backup/restore purposes.

Usability

I consider that it's an excellent product and always there's an opportunity to have some improvements. I consider that some error messages presented are not easy to solve, looking under forums or even support to understand what's happening, sometimes errors are generic and it's tricky to find the solution.

Alternatives Considered

As we used already it for on-premises environments and have previous experience, we consider this as the main option for Azure cloud.

We're actually using it for file/folder restore, also for the database (SQL Server), and for servers acting as Domain Controller.

Another good solution from VEEAM company for Cloud services.
