Overall Satisfaction with Ventiv Claims

We had the claims system prior to Ventiv—the transfer was easy and they are very responsive to issues.
In the Risk Management Services Department, we administer benefits for a pool of self-funded municipal entities. Workers Comp, Property/Casualty, and Underwriting all work with Ventiv. Ventiv is our claims management system, reporting system, and policy/underwriting system.

  • With some calls/or Zoom meetings, we need an interpreter or some way to assist in better understanding when talking to the Help Desk.

  • Document image and User mail could use more enhancements to get the information from outside source into Claims Enterprise. The business rules for adding documents and claims mail need to bring in the description or subject to notepad

Yes, we have the capability to customize fields and use business rules to trigger certain events. They keep us informed and compliant with changes within the system. Built-in functions for reserving, correspondence & payments are easy to use and easy to track. Bill review process is much better within the system.

It is generic training that gives you a basic understanding of the process. It helps you understand the process and how the system works. We provide the training to new employees along with hands-on training in our live environment that has been modified to fit our needs.
We have been using the iVos claims system for about 20 years before that we used PACASSO which was bought by another company. We did an RFP for the claims system in 2001 and chose the Valley Oak system, which has morphed into the current system we use with Ventiv.
