WatchGuard AuthPoint review
Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint
At Concorde Technology Group, we both use Authpoint internally and resell to clients. For both ourselves and our clients, it helps us provide multi-factor authentication over a wide variety of systems. This gives us peace of mind that our end users' credentials are secured. We have had extremely positive feedback from end-users at the simplicity of the service and likewise from technical people due to the ease of implementation. In an ever more complex cybersecurity world, Authpoint reduces our attack surface as a business, likewise for our clients, it also helps us meet regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ease of implementation, single pane of glass.
- Easy to use for end users.
- Easier to manage than competitors.
- Delegated access for managed service (I understand this is in beta).
- Easier ability to test resources before rolling out to all users.
- Option for company branded end user guides.
- Management peace of mind over security concerns.
- End users gain a greater understanding of security.
- Avoided financial and reputational losses as a business.
- Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (Discontinued)
AuthPoint is far easier to manage and use than any other product I have used. Other products produce inconsistent results when put into practice and this frustrates our end users and clients. We find that the single pane of glass gives it a massive leg up on all its competitors.
AuthPoint being cloud-managed has been a huge advantage for us during the pandemic and will be going forward, the fact that we can manage it anywhere from any device means we can respond to end-user issues with no delay and conduct ongoing management of the platform anytime anywhere.
End users generally meet the news that they have another system in their lives with trepidation, however once we have them set up on the system and start using it they always change their tune, we have had no negative feedback and some have commented that they feel more secure using the product
End users much prefer to access applications using SSO, we have all of our SAML based applications using SSO, and end-users just accept this as the norm now, from an administrators perspective this has cut down on user password resets substantially, it also gives us the ability to engage with end-users on secure password practices as they no longer gave so many to maintain.
