WatchGuard EPDR is used to protect our Endpoints including workstations and servers from malware, provide web filtering and application, and used for finding application vulnerabilities and patching.
- Blocks malicious and unknown applications

- Provide web filtering and blocks access to malicious sites
- Blocks phishing emails and phishing domains
- Root cause analysis and investigation for domains blocked by web filtering and executable blocked by antivirus
- Collaboration with the WatchGuard Firebox and WatchGuard AuthPoint products
- Data loss prevention
- Patch management has made fixing vulnerabilities in applications much easier
- The antiexploit and EDR solutions keeps me from being concerned about malware and ransomware attacks on my endpoints
- Web filtering and application control has made protecting remote workers possible
WatchGuard EPDR provides more features and better network protection than Crowdstrike. The patch management add-on of WatchGuard EPDR is not available in Trend Micro Worry-Free, Sophos Endpoint Security, or Crowdstrike solutions. WatchGuard EPDR is easy to centrally managed and provides very robust and comprehensive features and functionality.

Yes - WatchGuard EPDR replaced Sophos Central Endpoint with Intercept X. Primarily we decided to use WatchGuard EPDR because of the added Zero Trust features and Patch Management add-on.
