WebPT has been a great platform for our CAH PT department.
Overall Satisfaction with WebPT
Our EMR for the PT department integrates with the hospital/RHC Athena EMR. Athena does not have an operational EMR for physical therapy. If I wanted to start from scratch with Athena that was an option that I did not choose. I went with WebPT because they were willing to integrate with our facilities EMR Athena.
Pros
- Daily notes
- Initial evaluations
- Scheduling
- Appointment reminders
Cons
- HOME EXERCISE PROGRAM
- INCLUDING MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PROGRAMS TO ALIGN WITH MEDICARE (10 VISIT RULE; THRESHOLD)
- VISIBLE ALERTS TO PT AND FRONT OFFICE STAFF FOR PATIENTS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN IN FOR A MONTH.
- Able to use our outcomes, satisfaction, and goals met for quality measurements for our department and how we compare nationally.
- Able to improve productivity with analytic measurements.
- Assists with reaching patient's goals.
Great for Medicare, but misses the boat with Medicare Advantage plans. Not sure why the Medicare rules cannot be applied to Medicare Advantage plans. This and Medicaid are areas where we miss the 10th visit and monitor the threshold for KX modifiers.
Again all the hospital/RHC EMRs have poor to no physical therapy EMR platforms. WebPT was willing to work with us to integrate with Athena for our billing.
