WebPT does notice information that may be missing in the documentation process that would be needed for certain types of coverage, like Medicare. It also comes with a knowledge base that attempts to find explanations of claim rejections and solutions to resolve them. We have greatly trimmed down the amount of manual entry that needs to be done because claim information is pulled directly from the EMR records. This has allowed us to focus entirely on authorization issues and claim denials.

PT With A Difference
WebPT makes documenting very simple yet compliant, prompting anything that my have been left out of a note or evaluation and making it simple to correct or fix. ALso Therabill is user friendly and a great addition to the software as well. We like all services so far and will not be making any changes.

WebPT - EHR Platform of choice
WebPT has exceeded out expectations in safeguarding compliance. With these mechanisms in place our documentation and billing errors have reduced significantly, and it has made onboarding new practitioners just starting there practices easefully while they navigate the guidelines of private practice.

WebPT has multiple features built in that help you maintain compliance. I found the Medicare reminders to be especially helpful in that it removed the human error part of tracking.

It Does What it Needs to!
I don't think WebPt has helped us with a lot of compliance issues, but it would be nice if there was a way to store client info like cards into our system. Even to use for things like late fees or no-shows. We are unable to do this currently.

WebPT is great with their webinars and emails when things change. They also usually update the software so that PTs are forced to add certain things to our billing.

Best overall EMR
Inputs requirements for documentation with different insurances and has alerts to complete these requirements to help the therapists know exactly when they need to update the plan of care, do a progress note, or add any necessary modifiers when billing. It also adds reminders for therapy assistants and therapists to bill properly based on the specific insurance's rules.

WebPT Rocks
With WebPT reports we can keep track of all patients requiring authorizations, plan of care compliance and missed notes.
100% the main reason I loved WebPT. The notes were always complaint with Medicare standards and allowed me not to have to spend time keeping up with all of the changes. We did well with internal and external audits. It is also very helpful that WebPT does not allow a note to be completed unless all of the necessary documentation is completed.

Really good product
What PT will not allow me to add my patient to the schedule, unless I have all of their democratic and insurance information. While this helps prevent claim denials, I wish I could at least add them to the schedule and not be allowed to start documenting without that information. Actually, it would be nice to be able to start documenting, but have the screen have a large red banner. Sometimes an admin is completing this information while I start with the patient, during that time I do my documentation in a word document and then transfer all the information to IPT in the evening. I like that I can take the activities done in the flow chart area and send them to the charge area. I think that this would make for an easier audit process if one were triggered.

WebPT is a great solution for private PT practices
WebPT has supported our expectations regarding compliance by creating safeguards on both on the EMR side and the billing software side. However, we have run into issues with some of these safeguards not working as intended which creates more work on our side. While it isn't often, it is still very frustrating, and we would love to see this continue to work better.
